Paul Dunmall brings his new Quintet for his first visit to Fringe Jazz at The Bristol Music Club featuring four outstandingly talented young graduates of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course - The superb trombonist Richard Foote who you might have seen with Double Dreamtime at the recent Keith Tippett Celebration at St Georges, guitarist, composer and bandleader Steve Saunders, the exceptional Double Bassist James Owston, a BBC Young Jazz Musician Award Finalist in 2018 who has already established a national reputation and the brilliant in demand drummer Jim Bashford who you might have heard recently on tour and on the radio with Xhosa Cole.
All four appear on Paul Dunmall Sextet's excellent album 'Cosmic Dream Projection' (FMR) which was recorded in 2020 and released post lockdown earlier this year, and went back in the studio in September 2021 to record as a Quintet for a new Dunmall album to be released early next year.
