Brit ish Saxophone colossus Paul Dunmall brings his main quartet to the club fo r the first time\, featuring the superb pianist Liam Noble\, and Paul's re gular trio collaborators \; John Edwards on bass and Mark Sanders on d rums. Although Paul has been a regular performer at Fringe Jazz since the club first started we've never been able to book his 'main' band because o ur old venue did not have a 'real' piano so after all these years we are v ery excited to be welcoming the quartet to The Bristol Music Club. Noble has recorded and released seve ral albums through Basho Records\, including the acclaimed &lsquo\;Close y our Eyes&rsquo\; (1994)\, &lsquo\;In the Meantime&rsquo\; (2001)\, &lsquo\ ;Romance Among the Fishes&rsquo\; (2004)\, and &lsquo\;The Madness of Crow s&rsquo\; (2011)\, as well as collaborating with various notable musicians such as Stan Sulzmann\, Julian Siegal\, Paul Dunmall\, Christine Tobin\, Marc Ducret\, and Okkyung Lee. As well as being a successful recording art ist\, Noble holds acclaimed teaching posts at both Birmingham Conservatoir e and Trinity College of Music.\nJOHN EDWARDS is a true virtuoso whose sta ggering range of techniques and boundless musical imagination have redefin ed the possibility of the double bass and dramatically expanded its role\, whether playing solo or with others.
