ALEX GARNETT one of the country's leading saxophonist makes his Fringe Jazz debut. When not on tour Alex has a weekly late night residency at Ronnie Scotts and it was on one of these sessions that the London & Bristol based guitarist Dan Waldman had the idea of inviting Alex down to Bristol to play at Fringe Jazz. The plan was to put together a quartet line-up featuring the phenomenally talented Hammond Organist Jonny Henderson (best known for his work with Matt Schofield and the ex Miles Davis & Joni Mitchell guitarist Robben Ford) and the wonderful groovemeister drummer Matt Brown. The only problem has been finding a date when all four musicians were not touring. But don't worry the wait is over - make sure you don't miss this one.
Alex Garnett has worked with Wynton Marsalis, Pete King, Humphrey Littleton, Scott Hamilton, Van Morrison, Evan Parker and The Rolling Stones, as well as with his contemporaries Gareth Lockrane, Seamus Blake, Phil Robson, Michael Janisch, Liam Noble, Joel Frahm, and many more.
