Fringe Jazz presents - PAUL DUNMALL & JOHN O'GALLAGHER QUARTET
Paul Dunmall - Tenor & Soprano Sax
John O'Gallagher - Alto Sax
John Edwards - Double Bass
Mark Sanders - Drums
Two of the world's leading saxophonists reform the wonderful quartet that visited Fringe Jazz on tour in January 2018. Paul Dunmall is acknowledged as one of the most respected musicians in European Jazz/Improvised Music whilst the American Alto Saxophonist John O'Gallagher is rated as one of the best saxophonists and composers on the New York jazz scene. Together with the powerhouse rhythm duo of John Edwards on Double Bass and the incredible Mark Sanders on Drums this really is a meeting of giants. Live recordings from last year's UK Tour have been released on the excellent CD 'Freedom Music' (FMR) and on hearing the album we concluded that we really had to invite the quartet back to Fringe Jazz. This is a gig not to be missed.
